2025 Turbo Containment Update
02/17/2025 – For the 2025 Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Association season the following rule update and clarification will apply for turbochargers in all classes:

Affected Rule:
- In 2024 OTTPA Rule Book, Safety Rules, Page 17, Rule #29
- Any intake wheel that is not enclosed into the hood that is easily accessible must have a containment system to prevent the intake wheel from discharging forward.
New Rule in 2025 Rule Book:
- General Safety Rules, Page 21, Rule #11.11.8
- Moved to a new rule number and updated
- All turbocharged vehicles with the air inlet on the turbocharger not in the engine compartment (under the hood, behind the side shields and behind the grill) must have a cross in front of the compressor wheel. Cover (3/8” star pattern of billet) will be V-banded between air shut off and compressor cover.
